Angry Dynomites is one of the latest games to join Ronin, and on June 11th it kicked off its P2A campaign: Project Voyager. After diving into the game, Level 80 player @enefetero believes it’s one of the best P2A experiences we've seen in Web3 gaming so far. But how does it actually work, and what makes it special? Let’s break it down. Take it away, @enefetero!

What is Angry Dynomites?

In short, it’s a growing ecosystem built around a dinosaur-themed IP. Their first game, Craft World, is a resource management sim where you upgrade your production systems, trade materials on-chain, and help dynos build spaceships.

The game is free-to-play and follows a diversified monetization model: IAPs, ads, marketplace fees — plus an upcoming Nano Fee system that’s worth checking out in their litepaper.

Project Voyager – The Perfect Mix

Timed with their Ronin launch, Project Voyager is wrapping up the Craft World Testnet phase and setting the stage to fully migrate the game's economy to Ronin Mainnet once the event ends in July.

The goal is simple: build a starship. To do that, players complete missions, gear up their dyno, and climb the leaderboard. The higher you rank, the more DynoCoins you’ll receive on Mainnet.

DynoCoin is the ecosystem’s utility token — used as the main currency for trading materials via a built-in DEX, which is also moving to Ronin soon.

Airdrop missions are everywhere in Web3, but Angry Dynomites' stands out by rewarding whales, grinders, KOLs, and casuals alike. Here's what makes it special:

Missions – Endless Dopamine for the whole funnel

The entire P2A experience lives on a dedicated page with different mission categories, which you can see in these screenshots. Missions are key to delivering that steady dopamine hit.

As you complete them, you earn crystals to climb the leaderboard and upgrade your gear. The more crystals you collect, the more your Dyno levels up, unlocking better equipment and new missions. It’s a classic flywheel that keeps you in the loop.

Missions are tracked in real time, and each one has multiple tiers. They’re split across several categories:

  • One-Time: Milestones & Ownership
  • Socials: Including X, Discord, Blog and videos
  • Daily & Weekly quests
  • Specials: A mix of socials and mini live-ops

There are over 100 unique missions ranging from in-game progress and NFT ownership to trading, referrals, event participation, and even social campaigns on X. It’s a well-crafted mix that pushes players to dive into every corner of the game, hitting the entire funnel while delivering a constant sense of progression.

Progression Through Gear – And Yes, It’s Monetized

Missions are great, but on their own, they can get repetitive over time. That’s where gear comes in: a progression system a progression system that adds new gameplay layers.

Each Dyno has 6 gear slots (head, glasses, left hand, right hand, suit, and shoes), and you can equip items with different rarities — from common to mythical. These items give you crystal boost percentages for completing missions. The higher the rarity, the higher the boost.

But it doesn’t stop there. Slots themselves can be leveled up (not the items), using both in-game resources and mission crystals. Leveling up a slot increases its boost percentage even further. For example:

  • Head = earth resources
  • Glasses & chest = you’ll need to burn crystals (sacrificing leaderboard position) to gain more long-term power.
  • Right hand = fire
  • Left hand = water

So how do you get gear? Chests from the shop. You get free ones daily (with low chances of high rarity), or you can spend crystalstestnet DynoCoins, or RON to buy better ones.

Players have already spent 20,000 RON on chests in the first days of the campaign. Oh, and there’s another nod to NFT holders: if you own a fire or water Dyno NFT, you get one free chest per day. Everything's thought through.

The Referral System

The last piece of this flywheel is the referral system.

Everyone gets their own link/code, and you’ll earn 3% of all the crystals they generate for every user you refer -- plus a hiring bonus that scales with your progression level.

The number of referrals you can have is also tied to your level, which creates a nice dual incentive:

  • Horizontally, by unlocking more referral slots
  • Vertically, by boosting your hiring bonus as you level up

It’s a way to make sure progress always feels meaningful, no matter how you play.

Final Thoughts

In my opinion, we haven’t seen a P2A this well executed since the one Pixels pulled off. Why? Because it nails three key elements that often correlate with a campaign’s success:

  • Instant Gratification: People earn rewards and they are IMMEDIATELY able to use it or spend it → Crystals
  • Clear Call-to-Action: Complete missions → Get rewards. Refer users → Get rewards. Buy chests → Get rewards. Easy to understand
  • Clear Reward Scheme: Knowing exactly how much you can earn motivates you

Beyond Project Voyager, the studio is also crushing it on Discord and socials with constant updates, full transparency, community-driven development, partnerships with guilds like Kind — and even a creator program. All of this is wrapped in unique digital collectibles that elevate their IP, giving them a strong brand presence and helping them stand out as a top-tier project.
