Welcome to Ronin, Forgotten Runiverse! This Web3 fantasy MMORPG is part of the Forgotten Runes Wizard’s Cult – a universe spanning gameplay, community lore-building, NFT collections, a multimedia ecosystem, and merch. The Bisonic team plans to migrate the game onto Ronin this summer, bringing one of the most expansive experiences in Web3 to Ronin.

What is the Forgotten Runiverse?

Forgotten Runiverse is a Web3 fantasy franchise featuring wizards, spells, technology and of course magic! The MMORPG is scheduled to launch a limited gameplay event on Ronin this August with plans to increase support for mobile play over time. This aims to open a portal for traditional gamers to join the Ronin movement with a magical and immersive open world.

Players can band together to form guilds, embark in PvE expeditions, and engage in monthly PvP leagues, all the while crafting a variety of items by gathering resources from all over the world. They can claim true ownership of resources, items, and even areas of the world by minting them onto the Ronin blockchain.

On July 31st Forgotten Runiverse will hold a 3 Day Closed Beta Test followed by the Public gameplay event titled NEW FOUNDATIONS. Players will be able to earn special rewards and craft unique NFT items available exclusively to this limited build. All Forgotten Runiverse game assets will be available on Mavis Market.

Wizards, Lore, and More

In Forgotten Runiverse, community members are Wizards imbued with powerful magic and connection to the Runiverse. Runes are ideas forgotten by the world, and Wizards are on a mission to help the world remember these ideas. They create and contribute media in the form of stories, animations, artwork, and more to bring Runes to life. For example, every Wizard, Warrior, Soul, Pony and Beast NFT holder can write original lore about their character in the on-chain tome, the Book of Lore. These stories can find their way into the Comics, Animated Series, and even the Game itself. 

At launch, the Wizards will play a key role in the game which include custom skins, various in-game rewards, Guild access, and exclusive map areas. Over time, other Forgotten Runes character collections will be added in game with unique roles and abilities.

Meet Bisonic

Bisonic was founded in 2021 by a team of AAA industry veterans with collective experience in producing, publishing, and developing games like Elder Scrolls Online, Diablo, Overwatch, World of Warcraft, Far Cry3, Rainbow 6 Siege, Street Fighter, and more. They joined forces with Forgotten Runes Wizard’s Cult founders Dotta, Elf J Trul, and Bearsnake to build the Forgotten Runiverse game. They went on to build through the last bear market together, and have since received support from backers including Dialectic, Alexis Ohanian’s Seven Seven Six, and crypto natives Soby, Deeze and more. Bisonic team members are cryptonatives with real-world experience in both gaming and Web3 play-to-earn mechanics.
