Lumiterra’s closed beta test is full of new features that deepen both horizontal and vertical progression. Expanded options for equipment enhancement. More Dungeon difficulty levels. An open world, team-based PvP event called Escort Slime. Even the beginner quests got a glow-up to better support new player onboarding! The Lumiterra team shipped massive upgrades based on community feedback from CBT 1 and their original vision. Here’s what’s new:
Let’s talk about vertical progression, and how the Equipment Enhancement updates refine Lumiterra’s gameplay. During CBT 2, players will be able to enhance all equipment above Level 1, which introduces new strategic options to the game. Will you grind to enhance your gear, or to improve your overall enhancing ability? Pro-tip: both choices are good, and will also get you into the Enhanced Lottery.
Players can enter the Enhanced Lottery every time they enhance equipment. Winners receive 70% of the lottery’s prize pool, which is loaded with rewards accumulated from other player’s enhancement fees! This mechanism rewards players for making enhancements.
Let’s move onto horizontal progression updates. Dungeons now have 6 difficulty levels, which players can leverage to earn more rewards. Higher difficulty → Higher scores → Higher rankings → Higher rewards.
There’s also a new Dungeon going LIVE with CBT 2 called Centennial Trials, featuring nine new levels with ten stages each! Check out these speedruns of the Combat and Farming Trials:
Complete daily challenges to earn level rewards, and earn more rewards from a prize pool that increases every 30 minutes. The Centennial Trials Prize Draw can yield all kinds of rewards including important items for equipment enhancement.
Lumiterra’s new Escort Slime event introduces multiplayer coordination, PvP showdowns, and even more rewards. The idea is simple: protect a Slime, guide it to safety, and fend off attacks from other players! This will test combat skills and strategy. Players can earn rewards by keeping the Slime safe and by defeating other teams’ Slimes.
Gunner the NPC is the first character players meet when they log into Lumiterra for the first time. His job? Teaching gameplay basics. During CBT 2, NPCs Nash and Hsaki will join forces with Gunner to provide an even more pleasant onboarding experience.
Learn the most essential actions from Gunner including how to accept a task and how to defeat monsters. Then, graduate to Nash’s class and explore crafting, upgrading, and gathering. Next, hang out with Hsaki to get the scoop on Dungeons, leaderboards, token tasks, and more. This new onboarding system makes it easier than ever for new players to get started with Lumiterra!
Earlier this year, Lumiterra’s 1st CBT made huge waves despite limited access. CBT 2 starts next week — and it’s open to twice as many players! This is an opportunity for the Lumi team to stress-test their servers, and for new players to discover Ronin and Lumiterra. So, tell your friends. Tell your family. We even recommend telling your pet squirrels. Lumiterra is back, and this is just the beginning. Let’s keep pushing.
