Katana is where Ronin users swap, pool, and farm tokens from $RON to $AXS and more – everyday. Today, Ronin Apps have integrated Katana! That means Katana is now part of app.roninchain.com. Today’s release is a frontend update only, and there are no changes to Katana smart contracts. This release brings a couple of new features to Katana, and lays the groundwork for others – like the Innovation Zone. Here’s what’s new:

Today’s release brings Katana to app.roninchain.com. Swap, Pool, Farm, Bridge, Stake, and more – all from one place! This simplified UI makes it easy for new users to navigate our ecosystem. Say goodbye to bridging on Ronin Apps and swapping on the Katana website: you can now do it all at app.roninchain.com.

Wrap RON on the Katana DEX

Wrapped RON unlocks key opportunities on Ronin: it’s the only token you can use to make offers on Mavis Market and participate in Ronin ERC20 token launches. However, many users found it hard to wrap their RON into wRON. Starting today, anyone can wrap RON to Wrapped RON (wRON) from the Katana DEX and in their Ronin Wallet! Simple. Seamless. Secure.

Katana Will Soon Redirect to Ronin Apps

The Katana DEX will continue to perform the same functions as before. However, the legacy Katana website will redirect to app.roninchain.com on both mobile and desktop browsers in two weeks. This should take place by May 7th, 2024.

Introducing the Innovation Zone

If everything goes according to plan, we’ll introduce the Innovation Zone on the Katana DEX before the end of the summer. The Innovation Zone is a designated area that provides our users with a safer space for accessing newer tokens that will likely have higher volatility than other tokens. Think of Binance’s Seed Tag. For example, third-party builders may use the Innovation Zone to launch a new token. Or, users may use the Innovation Zone to kickstart their own new liquidity pool. The Innovation Zone is another step towards a more open Ronin.

Final Thoughts

We launched the Katana DEX in 2021 because Axie Infinity players needed a way to swap tokens without connecting to Ethereum. Today, Katana supports liquidity for many games’ tokens: Pixels, Apeiron, Play & Kollect – and we’re just getting started.
