Key Points
We’re excited to announce the beginning of The Machines Arena (TMA) Beta Season 3! The Machines Arena is a cross-platform, team-based shooter by game studio Directive Games. Wield devastating weapons in intense 5-7 minute battles through the heroes you control. The TMA Beta Season 3 introduces a new 4v4 Ranked Mode, a fresh map, unique rewards, and more. Here’s what’s new:
In TMA, teams of four players face off against each other in fast-paced battles. However, there hasn’t been a way to keep track of the top teams – until now. The new 4v4 Ranked Mode will enable a fair matchmaking system, which pits players of similar rank and ping head to head. A combination of skill and teamwork makes the dream work. See updates on scores and rank post-match. The Ranked Mode will also evolve dynamically every four months like a season, introducing fresh challenges and environments to keep players on their toes.
Along with the new Ranked Mode, TMA is also launching a new map called the Coalition Festival. Here’s some lore about this new arena:
During the Closed Beta Season 3, you’ll be able to unlock exclusive skins as rewards. Reach level 25 to unlock the Mercenary Bravo Zulu skin. Score the Urban Commando XE at level 50 – more unique rewards await at levels 75 and 100. These skins are more than the spoils of victory: they will soon become mintable NFTs on Ronin. Get them while you can by racking up wins in the Machines Arena Beta Season 3!
At the start of Beta Season 3, players will also be able to acquire new skins from the in-game store for a limited time. These will soon be mintable as well. You’ll have about a month to snag Night Ops, Dragon Dancer, and Amorous Archer skins. Dragon Dancer and Amorous Archer are only available until March 12th. However, there’s a catch: each player can only purchase one skin. Which one will you choose? Here’s what they’ll look like on different characters:
In March of 2023, we welcomed Directive Games to Ronin. They were among the first third-party game studios to join our movement. Directive Games was founded in 2014 by accomplished gaming industry veterans from companies including CCP Games, DICE, LucasArts, Square Enix, Ubisoft, and Tencent. Today, we’re excited to see them kick-off Beta Season 3! Let’s keep building together.
